Stored Grain

Proper management is essential in preventing grain spoilage resulting from infestations from microorganisms and insects.  The SLAM strategy in conjunction with sampling and the proper use of insecticides is the recommended approach for maintaining the quality of stored grains.  The University of Tennessee has several publications that provide a detailed overview of recommended grain bin preparations that should be taken to prevent grain spoilage.
