Strawberry
- To matted-row strawberries, apply an additional 30-45 pounds of nitrogen per acre annually as a sidedressing in August.
- To matted-row strawberries, apply an additional 30 pounds of nitrogen per acre at annual renovation after the first year.
- Phosphorus must be worked into the soil for availability to lower root zone.
- If strawberries are being grown on plastic with fertigation, apply all of the recommended phosphate and 1/2 of the recommended nitrogen and potash prior to installing the plastic. Distribute the remaining nitrogen and potash recommendations weekly over the spring production and harvest season (8 to 10 weeks) beginning when plants break dormancy in the spring.
